If you’re starting a business, creating a recreational space or simply expanding storage on your property, steel buildings can offer advantages that wood and concrete structures simply can’t match.
Steel is Structurally Superior
Lincoln steel buildings are prefabricated with 100% American steel. We use AZ55 Galvalume steel, the highest-quality heavy gauge steel available. Our buildings come standard with 26 gauge, 80,000 psi Purlin Bearing Rib roof panels with a 40-year rust warranty. Steel I-beam construction with solid cable x-bracing creates a clearspan space able to withstand harsh wind and weather. These steel panels won’t easily warp, buckle, twist or bend. Our stainless steel drilling fasteners prevent surface damage from drill slippage and come with rust warranty. Galvanized girts, purlins and c-sections further increase rust protection. Our buildings also come complete with steel doors of any specification and maintenance-free horizontal sliding windows. Simply put, our steel buildings are more durable and require far less maintenance when compared to their wood and concrete alternatives.
Manufactured to Your Specifications
Our job is to fit a structure to your specific needs, and we have plenty of experience doing just that. You provide us with the specifications and we’ll create the plans, blueprints and building to meet them. We’re capable of meeting any need you may have, including required structural tolerances. Steel is an incredibly capable material. Did you know that between concrete, steel and wood, that steel has the highest strength-to-weight ratio? That means steel can meet your needs on top of a more cost-effective foundation with more flexibility to expand safely.
Steel is Green
Being environmentally conscious is important to both us and the customers we work with. Steel is a recyclable material. In fact, a lot of the steel used in construction today has been recycled from previous uses. So, if you decide to eventually get rid of your building, you can rest assured that it can be recycled and re-purposed. Steel’s sustainability also lends itself toward acquiring LEED certification. Steel buildings are easy to insulate and, with tighter door and window fittings, more efficient to heat and cool. Unlike some other materials, steel doesn’t release toxic fumes during construction and it isn’t flammable. Steel walls and roofs can be coated to reflect sunlight so that structures naturally, and thus more cheaply, sustain more comfortable temperatures year-round.
Easy to install
Prefabricated steel buildings can be erected quickly and easily. Plenty of customers choose steel for this very reason. A do-it-yourself installation saves time and money, especially when you do it alongside our well-illustrated instruction sheets. Plus, with Lincoln steel buildings, you won’t need to make any cuts or alterations to make everything fit correctly.
Easy to modify
Plenty of customers come back to us having decided to expand their existing building space. With our frame system, expanding later is easy. Adjustable steel panels provide the flexibility to lengthen your building as needed. So, feel free to opt for an appropriate amount of space for now with the knowledge that you won’t be limiting yourself down the road as your business grows or your need for storage increases.
Easy to Maintain
Unlike wood, steel doesn’t deal with issues like rot and pests, which often require expensive and extensive repairs and replacements. Steel is durable and long-lasting. Steel also offers less risk of mold and mildew, as they tend to require porous, moist materials to form.
Safety and Resistance
Steel provides unparallelled protection against wind and weather, and it won’t burn in the unfortunate event of a fire. Prefabrication makes for quicker installs, which greatly reduces the risk of injury to those erecting the structure. Minimal maintenance also lowers the chance of accidents.
